Charges
What fees are payable to Life Monitor?
None. At no stage will Life Monitor charge you any fees for the insurance advice or our help in switching your life insurance policy(s) if required.
Surely I will have to pay something eventually. Otherwise how does Life Monitor get paid?
Life Monitor receives a fee from the insurance company on all new completed policies. Insurance companies do not pass this fee on to you, the client. Do remember though, you are not obliged to change your life or critical illness policy.
Do I have to pay to call Life Monitor?
No, calls to us are free on 0800 988 3000 and all calls are handled and made from the UK.
How it works
Will I need to obtain all the details on my current life insurance policy(s)?
No, Life Monitor staff will speak to your existing insurance company on your behalf to obtain all the relevant details – including any tie-in period and penalties.
How is the Life Monitor service different to a price-comparison website or best-buy tables?
Life Monitor analysts look at your specific policy(s) and circumstances to advise you personally of the best available option. They do this proactively and don’t present you with a baffling array of choices.
Is Life Monitor truly independent, or do you use a panel of insurance companies?
Life Monitor is completely independent and impartial. We use the whole of the life insurance and critical illness market to check on an ongoing basis whether there is a better product for you.
When Life Monitor offers me the best policy, do I have to transact it with you?
No, you have no obligation to transact with Life Monitor because of the advice we provide. Of course, we believe you’ll find the service so helpful that you’ll want to transact through us as well.
I have an insurance broker who looks after me already, so why should I register with Life Monitor?
Life Monitor operates as a reference service as well as an advisory service. By comparing our advice with your broker’s means you can cross-check that you’re really being offered the best deal.
I have life insurance policies tied in with my mortgage; how will these be affected?
Life Monitor will analyse the price and coverage you currently have and, if a saving can be made, we’ll recommend you to switch free of charge. However, if you have the best deal available, then we’ll recommend those arrangements stay in place.
